2024, Happy New Year my friends. Today is Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, and the first week of the new year already flew. Unfortunately, I’m a tad sick though I don’t think there’s any better time to heal from the end of 2023 than now. I’ve missed you and missed writing to you, my friends. I’ve been planning quite a bit how I may enter into this new year and I’ve decided on several things.

ACTING

First and foremost, my acting career stays front and center. My craft is most important to me and I will continue moving forward in this industry. I’m quite curious how this season will look after the holidays and after the SAG Strike. So in this particular moment, I wait somewhat patiently to observe what will happen, and with this, I have absolutely no clue, only hope. Yet as an actor, I wish to continue my training by any means necessary. Though I may not be able to afford classes at this particular moment, I have a means that will still help me to improve my ability drastically.

FILM STUDY

Second, I had been in conversation with myself in terms of specificity, and I mentioned it here in a newsletter a few weeks ago. I feel as if I’ve been able to utilize enough foresight into this that it is simply time to begin “Theory will only take you so far” (Oppenheimer… and myself a lot of times). My website will be the host of my film studies. My call to action will firstly reach out to industry professionals and casting directors, the next CTA will be addressed to my readers who are continuously interested in film and are looking for a tribe to speak about these films after or even before they watch them. I’d like to state now for clarity, that my primary focus will be and always has been my craft as an actor, and though I aim to create growth in this particular area I am not to let it affect this path of mine, only to aid in it. This is why I’ve chosen the subject matter and why I’ve stated my purpose for each of these posts. I’m incredibly excited to announce today my inaugural post in which I have explored in quite some depth my favorite movie of 2023

DEBT → FREEDOM

Thirdly, I have succeeded in closing one of my credit cards that was accruing interest just a few days ago after a long couple of weeks working double after double on holidays at the restaurant. I made incredible money but because of this sprint of work, I’m not surprised that I’m sick now. Closing this credit card is only the beginning of this battle with my debts, however, with newfound skills and a newfound fire lit within me I am to make this year the year where I tackle most if not all of my debts. It is, to me, my year toward freedom.

A MESSAGE TO YOU

Finally, to you, my friends, thank you so much for joining me on my journey. It’s been an incredible year to write to you ALMOST weekly, I had many ideas, and many moments of change from the beginning of this newsletter to now, and It’s amazing to look back marking each of these pinnacle moments in written form. I will continue this journey and I will continue to aim to provide you with an immense amount of value. From allegories and stories, to movie, film, and music suggestions, to simply, asking the question.
