I’ve decided to set out on a long term project, to test my skills and develop my ability in researching, gathering sources, and writing.

So I’m here to tell you…

I’m Writing a Book!

My curiosity is sparked by the 12 Jungian Archetypes:

• The Innocent

• Everyman

• Hero

• Outlaw

• Explorer

• Creator

• Ruler

• Magician

• Lover

• Caregiver

• Jester

• Sage

My goal is once a month discover the concept of each archetype and apply this to a character that I create, while also locating these archetypes throughout history and within modern media.

This book will be directed toward creatives who are looking to gain access to more tools to build more intentional and 3-dimensional characters. Of course It’ll more than likely shape shift as I work on the book.

I won't announce a date but I'm thinking about a year and a half (first time here). Assuming 12 archetypes, one chapter per month, and more chapters as well as time to edit, get eyes on it, fact checking and more. That’s the plan at least.

My goal with this book is to explore a few sections of curiosity:

-I'm always curious how I can improve my acting and character creation. Archetypes are fundamental in storytelling.

-I want to write a book. I write over 2,000 words every morning and have been doing that for about 6 years now, as if I never missed a day that would technically be 4,320,000 words I've written. I can write many words, but can I focus the intent of my words to offer value to you?

-I want to improve in different areas such as: Copywriting, Social media, EDITING, RESEARCHING. There's of course many different areas I wish to improve, but embarking on this book writing journey will help me to work on multiple layers of the creative process.

What’s The Social Media Looking Like?

My content will be revolving around the particular archetype of the month, it will be less a page of Matt Piper, but rather the actor Matt Piper creating a human centered around this particular archetype.

Twitter will hold more writing segments, so that’s where most of my snippets of research and notes might go. As well as Threads.

Videos and Photos will go on Insta and Facebook, I’m uncertain if I’ll try TikTok again, really, I just gotto do what I can and I’ll figure out what my capacity is for creating a trillion social media posts, haha.

Look forward to interview segments with my characters, findings from my research within the particular archetypes, and Jungian psychology, and more.

WE BEGIN IN AUGUST

I’ll be taking the time now to set myself up for success, researching ahead, creating character, shooting and compiling footage and photography to post frequently to offer as much value as I can to those who follow my social media.
