Update!

There are many things that I’m thinking about at the moment and I’d like to continue letting you in on the details. Most importantly, to remain upfront and honest with all of my subscribers I’d like to let you know what I intend to do with this newsletter.

My Ever-Evolving Newsletter

My Monday newsletters will always remain free. However, I do intend to create more organized work for those who wish to step further into my notes. In my mind, these look like tiered memberships, and within these tiers are ways to find exclusive work. If you haven’t noticed, maybe it’s not as bad as I think it is, but I do tend to be a little all over the place with my subject material. These memberships are there to keep me on track and offer insightful information on specific subject matter.

3 main areas I’m looking at:

• Art

  • My craft as an actor, and a writer, can stem from all the different aspects of the self of which I’m a part.

    • Producer, director, grip, sound, editor, gaffer, best boy, lighting designer, director, set designer, project manager, and probably more.

  • It’s also an exploration into art and creativity itself, my work is to be a free artist, that’s my journey, therefore I’d like to continue discussing how I do that, and how I learn to feel comfortable creating whenever, however, wherever, with whatever.

• Health and Wellness, and probably productivity.

  • Fitness and Health: There’s a kind of untapped spring of knowledge here that I’ve sort of just allowed to be filled. I’d like to mine this to bring to you that incredible wealth of knowledge and offer insight into this area as I’m deeply passionate about it myself. I’m a vegan bodybuilder/powerlifter who has been stepping into the gym for over 10 years now with a wealth of sports knowledge growing up playing every sport I could. I also have a friend that I’m going to try to convince to collaborate with me to help with this. (Ben, I’m lookin’ at you 👀)

  • Wellness, mental health, philosophy, and psychology. A way to better understand the self, and step forward in everyday life. Mental health is something I’ve been challenged by off and on and have built and gathered many ideas and concepts surrounding it, this would be an opportunity to share something important to those around me. Something that I believe could truly help you in your day-to-day life. Curating information and resources to better get the help that you need, and hopefully sharing insights to gain wisdom to come face to face with the wonderful moments,

• Spirituality

  • My art is spiritual, and the study of the spirit is also important to me. I’ve been thinking about creating a series that goes into depth with the study of religion, symbols, ghosts, the ether, energies, chakras, and more for some time. I’d like to create this as a particular section to further improve my knowledge as well as to offer what I already know on the subject. I was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith (Sebastian is my confirmation name) but my organized-religion trauma followed me into a Christian-based organization. When I got to college I was pretty much an Atheist. This led me down a terrible hole and eventually, I created a far stronger foundation with more Eastern philosophy and spirituality. If I was to call myself anything, which I won’t, I’d probably be a Buddhist

Why Charge?

I need to treat capitalism like a game. It’s life or death sometimes but the more that I learn this game the more I can understand how to break it apart bit by bit from the inside. This, and I also need to survive. So I ask for your advice, help, and support as I begin to roll this out. As my first and original subscribers, I plan on offering three free months to each of you. I’ll send out a few surveys as well to receive helpful feedback. While also, you are always welcome to simply respond to the email itself and write me a note.

I want to be able to create at a profoundly high level without the worry of costs. To remain frugal and under budget to pay the artists involved. I want to create endlessly and forever, and for those who decide to opt in to pay for these particular tiers, you are actively supporting my ability to create this incredible work. You are supporting my ability to pay for space, time, and material, supporting art that’s meant to challenge what is currently being shown on the Hollywood screen, supporting my training, and supporting your artist and those who collaborate with him.

I will be working hard to develop this newsletter and I’d like to make sure that I’m doing that while also creating art that truly speaks, truly communicates, and reaches far deeper than what’s being put out currently.

I’m putting systems into place throughout the next couple of weeks to introduce this product, and to create something that’s actually, and intentionally, good. A deeper curation of art, a formulaic way of describing my process, and also allowing you a closer look into how it is that I’m crafting, writing, leading, shooting, editing, and producing. I have a script that’s on its 2nd draft and in the works, and I’d like to be open about the production process.

The Eclipse

The Eclipse has come and it’s beginning to mark its energy into the very souls of those around it. Just don’t look at it without protection or it’ll seer a crescent shape into your retina, which wouldn’t be good. There’s something about this eclipse to me that is creating more openness, a feeling of exploration and curiosity. Something being torn away and replaced by something new. I’m trying my best not to look up what this eclipse means, I don’t want to even touch a website with spiritual notation surrounding it. I’m claiming what it means to me by intuition. I encourage the same your way.

I think something about this eclipse makes me recognize or solidify particular things. For example, in my art, I’m beginning to decipher what brings me joy faster, what brings me inspiration, and who I tend to fall down rabbit holes with. Like that crescent shape in my retina, there’s something I’ve gained that I can no longer look past. I can almost feel the ego of a person when I’m watching a performance, or rather when I’m watching a production or film. It’s this intuition that’s very interesting to me, and my intuition is hitting the mark the more I tune into it.

My intuition is growing, and maybe this eclipse is a challenge of my intuition, to continue developing, listening, and communing with. Many things are growing for me, my list of films and film knowledge is expanding very quickly, and meticulously. The discovery of my interest in the visual arts, sans film, (painting, collage, photography) has developed unexpectedly and has brought on a new and deeper visual language that I wish to utilize for my own films. It’s not called “The Moving Picture” for no reason. Reading and writing have offered me far more knowledge about how words work, and how, when organized with intention, can incite fantastic movement. Each unique path into my curiosity is offering me something really important, a few answers for what constitutes storytelling. When I watch something now, I come in with a much larger vocabulary than I did before, and I can see when something is only reaching part of its potential. Therefore, I’m a snob now. Which is alright in most cases.

With a larger vocabulary to put words to feelings and intuition, intuition is still different than all of this. Intuition creates red blips on a screen that locates ego ready to combust, it’s something in my gut that tells me something isn’t right, something feels off, uncanny valley. It’s these things that I want to locate more of. the eclipse to me is something that challenges spirituality, something that asks you to look deeper, something that asks you to stop and look up with reverence of its power and ask “why” a bit further.
